About the role

As an Associate Engineer-Security, you will work alongside experienced Network Security Engineers and Service Professionals in a dynamic operational environment and form an integral part of 24*7 in-life security support team. You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise security platforms, network infrastructure, troubleshooting methodologies, and operational processes used to support global customers.

You will support the Network Security team in monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network security solutions. You will assist in firewall administration, load balancer operations, VPN support, network security monitoring, incident management, and service delivery activities while developing a strong foundation in network security technologies and best practices.

What you’ll be doing

• Firewall Operations: Support the management and monitoring of next-generation firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, and Check Point. Assist with firewall policy reviews, access requests, rule analysis, and configuration validation. Monitor firewall logs and security events to identify network security issues and potential threats.
• Network Security Monitoring: Monitor security alerts, system health, and network events across security platforms. Investigate alerts and support incident resolution activities within agreed service levels. Assist in analysing traffic flows, security logs, and connectivity issues.
• VPN and Secure Connectivity Support: Support administration and troubleshooting of VPN technologies including IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, GlobalProtect, and remote access solutions. Assist users and support teams in resolving secure connectivity issues.
• Incident and Problem Management: Monitor queue across various ITSM platforms (Service Now, NGSD, etc.). Participate in troubleshooting network security incidents and perform preliminary root cause analysis. Support the preparation of incident reports and technical documentation. Collaborate with senior engineers during major incident investigations.
• Change and Service Management: Support change implementations related to firewalls, load balancers, and security infrastructure. Use ITSM tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident, request, and change management activities. Ensure all support activities are documented accurately.
• Network Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network security issues. Perform log analysis and packet-flow reviews under guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaboration and Learning: Work closely with network, security, and service management teams. Participate in technical reviews, customer support activities, and operational meetings. Stay updated with emerging technologies, security threats, and industry best practices.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Network Engineering, Related Technical Discipline. No prior experience required.
