As Product Principal for Automation & Threat Intelligence, you will be responsible for defining and owning BT’s automation and threat intelligence strategy within Managed Security Services.

The role focuses on assessing current capability, identifying gaps versus market best practice, and delivering a clear, prioritised roadmap that improves security operations through automation, SOAR and AI‑enabled intelligence.

You will work closely with SOC teams, service owners and technology partners to take solutions from concept through to live operation, ensuring they are scalable, effective and commercially viable.

Establishing clear stakeholder success criteria, metrics and reporting to track progress and demonstrate value.

Owning Threat Intelligence for BT Security, ensuring tools, processes and intelligence feeds support all managed security services and enable new propositions such as Attack Surface Management (ASM) and Digital Risk Protection (DRP).

Driving automation and AI adoption across SOC operations, including automated incident response, intelligence enrichment, alert prioritisation, and GenAI support for analysts.

Essential skills/experience;

  • Strong experience within Managed Security Services (MSSP) or security operations environments.
  • Proven end‑to‑end product management experience, including business case development and go‑to‑market delivery.
  • Solid understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into clear, actionable product roadmaps.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across technical and senior business audiences.

Desirable skills/ experience;

  • Hands‑on exposure to security automation, orchestration or incident response automation use cases.
  • Experience working with AI or machine learning concepts within security or operational environments.
  • Commercial experience including vendor selection, pricing discussions or contract negotiations.
  • Understanding of the UK B2B cyber security market and competitive landscape.
  • Experience working in large, complex or regulated organisations.
