Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Principal Engineer (Frontend) with strong expertise in modern frontend technologies and a solid understanding of cloud-native and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, preferably in the SaaS domain, and will play a key role in defining frontend architecture, driving technical excellence, and mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frontend Architecture & Development

    • Design and build scalable, high-performance frontend applications.

    • Define and enforce frontend architecture, coding standards, and best practices.

    • Lead development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React).

  • Technical Leadership

    • Act as a frontend technical authority across teams.

    • Mentor senior and junior engineers and guide complex technical decisions.

    • Review designs and code to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability.

  • Platform & DevOps Collaboration

    • Work closely with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration.

    • Support frontend deployment pipelines and AWS-hosted environments.

    • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build optimization, and release strategies.

  • SaaS & Product Delivery

    • Drive frontend solutions aligned with SaaS scalability, security, and performance needs.

    • Partner with Product and UX to deliver high-quality, user-centric experiences.

    • Ensure frontend observability, monitoring, and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years in frontend or UI engineering, with experience at principal or staff level.

  • Core Skills:

    • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

    • Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).

    • Deep understanding of browser behavior, performance optimization, and accessibility.

  • Cloud & DevOps Exposure:

    • Experience working with AWS-hosted applications.

    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frontend build pipelines.

    • Understanding of DevOps concepts related to frontend delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and scaling SaaS products.

  • Exposure to micro-frontend or modular frontend architectures.

  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.

  • Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
