Our Administrative Support team takes care of the vital details that keep our business running smoothly, from preparing correspondence, presentations and reports, to maintaining confidential, business-critical records and information.

What you will do

As an HR Generalist/Office Manager at Boomi, you'll manage our local office and all HR-related activities to ensure on-site support to employees in our growing Barcelona location. This role will partner with our HR and Facilities Leadership teams to promote Boomi's culture and enrich the employee experience as we grow our footprint in Spain. We are building this location to be a global centre of excellence and your leadership will help to set the pace and establish a special culture.

Please also note that this is a hybrid office/remote role where you will work at least 3 days per week from our stunning Barcelona office; and 2 days from home.

As an Office Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the Barcelona Office runs smoothly and help to drive an amazing team culture for team members, business partners and customers

  • Manage Commercial Sales Team Communication, including a weekly newsletter of content shared by team members and business partners

  • Help to manage a “business cadence calendar” of meetings and events so that things are organized and run efficiently

  • Coordinate scheduling and calendar management, as well as management of content and flow of information to senior executives

  • Manage and coordinate senior executives’ travel and travel-related activities, including expense reports

  • Organize staff and business meetings and prepare supporting materials

  • Coordinate team events, food deliveries, etc.

  • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners

  • Provide general administrative/office support for the Barcelona office

  • Partner with our Facilities Leadership team to provide support related to the facility including vendor management, office moves, openings, etc.

  • Partner with the workplace experience team to plan and host a variety of workplace experience initiatives

  • Order and maintain office inventory, supplies and snacks

  • Keep the office organized and tidy

As an HR Generalist, you will:

  • Lead the execution of corporate HR initiatives in Spain, driving HR functional excellence

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local employment law

  • Investigate employee relations issues and performance concerns while maintaining confidentiality, consistency and sensitivity

  • Create and maintain proactive, effective, and trusting relationships with leaders and employees to provide advice, guidance, and counsel on HR matters locally

  • Advise on courses of action related to daily issues with employees that include but are not limited to discipline, attendance management, and other work-related problems

  • Review and explain HR policies and programs and assist with the rollout of updated or new HR programs and initiatives

  • Assist HR team with special projects as needed

  • Support with new hire orientations

  • Support with all HR-related onboarding activities

  • Support with all HR-related offboarding activities

The Experience you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role, with knowledge/expertise in employee relations/investigations, coaching/mentorship

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Administration, Business, or a related field

  • Experience supporting/partnering with sales teams in an HR capacity

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work regionally to align business and HR strategy

  • Experience sourcing and managing vendors

  • Full working knowledge and understanding of legal and regulatory aspects within Spain's employment and labour laws including grievances and investigations

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in the Tech/SaaS / iPaaS industry

  • PHR, SPHR, or similar certification

  • Experience with talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation & benefits

Key Competencies:

  • Strong ability and comfortability to guide, coach, and influence leaders to align business and HR strategy

  • Ability to discuss basic organizational development matters and the fundamental issues of the HR functional areas with management

  • Proactive and collaborative by nature

  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic environment

  • Attention to detail
