How You'll Make An Impact

As an HR Business Partner, you will drive strategic HR alignment and operational execution across our Canadian workforce and select functions within the US. In this role, you will bridge global HR strategy with locally compliant, culture-forward practices. Partnering closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional HR teams, you will serve as a trusted advisor, supporting organizational growth, employee engagement, and business performance across borders.

This is a hybrid role based in our Vancouver office, with in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the dedicated HRBP for Canadian employees and designated US functions, tailoring HR strategies to meet distinct regional and functional needs.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Partner with leaders on org design, workforce planning, and talent strategies to support business expansion and evolution.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Manage complex ER matters and performance management processes; lead sensitive investigations with confidentiality, equity, and consistency.
  • Compliance & Policy Governance: Ensure full compliance with Canadian federal and provincial employment laws across multi-jurisdictional teams; develop and adapt regional policies as required.
  • Cross-Functional HR Collaboration: Work closely with other HR functions (TA, Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll, etc.) to seamlessly execute global programs, rollouts, and communications locally.
  • Leadership Coaching: Advise, coach, and influence managers on leadership development, performance management, attendance, and employee retention strategies.
  • Cross-Border Program Management: Lead the regional rollout of corporate HR initiatives, ensuring consistent execution across distributed and remote teams.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to global HR transformation initiatives and strategic projects as assigned.
  • Support broader HR team projects as needed

The Experience You Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partnering experience in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on employee relations, investigations, and manager coaching.
  • Canadian & US Employment Law: Comprehensive working knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial labor laws across multiple provinces; foundational knowledge of US employment law basics.
  • Sales / Revenue Support: Demonstrated experience supporting Go-To-Market or Sales teams, with familiarity around commission structure dynamics, performance management, and quota-driven environments.
  • Multi-Jurisdictional Scope: Proven track record of managing distributed, remote, or hybrid workforces across multiple regions simultaneously.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Professional HR certifications (CPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
  • Prior HRBP experience within the Enterprise Software, SaaS, or iPaaS sectors
  • Advanced degree (Master’s in HR, IR, or MBA).

Key Competencies

  • Strategic Influence: Ability to build credibility quickly and influence senior leaders, particularly in remote or matrixed environments.
  • Agility & Ambiguity: Comfort navigating complex, cross-border matrix environments with high autonomy and self-direction.
  • Prioritization: Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities across a broad geographic footprint.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear, empathetic, and compliant guidance.
