Program Services Consultant - Data Management Specialist

About the role

As a Program Services Consultant you will be responsible for leading and supporting internal and client consultancy projects and working within client environments to deliver program management consultancy services, with a focus on Data Management. A Program Services Consultant can be expected to:

  • Identify, share and develop (within BMT Canada) business opportunities in support of the strategic targets of the Design Engineering Services team; As experience is gained: define, execute and lead bids for the winning of new work in accordance with the internal bid review/business development process.

  • To provide Program Management services to clients as may be required to execute consultancy contracts, within the scope of BMT Canada’s market area;

  • To complete tasks to meet specified objectives and within timescales and budgets;

  • Support BMT Project Managers (or act as PM) to:

    • Determine the resource requirements, program and cost for undertaking work;

    • Ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the statement of requirements and is checked in accordance with the relevant Quality Procedure;

    • To take steps to complete the technical and contractual requirements within the agreed budget; and

    • To fulfil all administrative requirements for the task ensuring that all necessary internal control systems are maintained.

    • Proactively interact with and exceed customers’ expectations.

  • Contribute to the objectives and direction of the Program Services team and Design Engineering Services Business Area and positively and actively support the decisions of the management team.

  • Contribute to a culture of operational and technical excellence.

  • Coach, mentor and support development of staff under their line management.

  • Maintain professional currency in areas of expertise agreed with the Program Services Engineering Manager.

About you

We are seeking a candidate who brings a Data Management specialty to the team. Data Management experience being sought includes:

  • An understanding of data management practices and principles for electronic file storage;

  • A general knowledge of tools and systems used for information, data, configuration and knowledge management;

  • Experience developing and managing data, configuration and knowledge environments;

  • Familiarity with Government of Canada tools; and

  • Experience developing or maintaining data management policies and processes.

  • You have a fantastic attitude, and people find you approachable.
  • This role will require Canadian security clearance, and you should be currently residing in Canada for the past ten years.
