People Partner

About the role

As the People Partner you will be responsible for professionally and efficiently delivering both BMT’s People strategy and the local delivery of key People Team priorities. You will build effective relationships with key stakeholders within your assigned client group(s) and across the Global People Team .

You will be the first point of contact for providing a timely and proactive people focused service . You will carry out operational activities within your client groups, ensuring that the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to and are aligned with the operating standards.

From a business perspective your responsibilities will include:

· Partnering with the business, providing in sights from a People Team perspective to define and achieve business and organisational goals .

· Acting as a catalyst for positive change within BMT.

· Identifying areas of improvement, to mitigate risks and propose steps to rectify them.

· Providing proactive advice on people related matters that enable the business to achieve its objectives.

You will also oversee the employee lifecycle including:

· Working with both employees and Line Managers to embed Performance Management across the client group(s).

· Advising, and where necessary coaching managers on the performance management of their team members.

· Preparing clear and concise people and performance metrics and reports that provide useful information to the business in line with the monthly reporting .

· Proactively working with Line Managers in the client group(s) to ensure they have the skills and tools to undertake their role effectively and to also ensure they adhere to all systems, policies and processes.

In terms of location, our office is in Southampton, and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

About you

We are looking for a professional and personable HR professional, who holds a degree level qualification in Human Resources or other relevant field. You will have demonstrable experience as a HR generalist with a solid understanding of UK employment legislation.

As the first point of contact for providing a timely and proactive HR service, we will really value your ability to think strategically and logically, helping the business to work more effectively. Your excellent interpersonal skills, alongside your ability to influence and challenge, will enable you to work successfully as a key support partner to senior leaders, management teams and staff members.
