Job description

We are the people who give possibilities purpose

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

As a Senior Product Manager, you will help develop the future of our Ambulatory infusion portfolio. You will connect customer and market needs with product development, bringing commercial and customer insight into decisions from early development through launch and lifecycle management.

Working across global and regional teams, you will help define what we develop, how solutions are positioned, and what is needed to support successful adoption in different markets. This is an opportunity to influence a developing portfolio while remaining close to customers, clinical needs, technology, and the science behind our products.

The role is based in RCI, Ireland and may involve up to 25% travel, depending on programme and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the portfolio roadmap based on customer needs, clinical priorities, market opportunities and long-term business goals.
  • Translate customer research, clinical workflows and market insights into clear product requirements, value propositions and development priorities.
  • Lead customer discovery, market research, workflow assessments and concept evaluations with clinicians, healthcare providers, patients and commercial partners.
  • Guide the commercial contribution to product development, working closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Human Factors, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations that inform investment decisions, portfolio priorities and future opportunities.
  • Create global commercialization and launch strategies covering positioning, segmentation, pricing, adoption, training and market readiness.
  • Partner with regional teams to adapt global strategies to local market requirements and bring together feedback before and after launch.
  • Monitor product performance after launch and see opportunities for portfolio expansion, lifecycle development and continuous improvement.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, nursing, engineering or a related subject area; an MBA or advanced degree would be an advantage.
  • At least 7 years of related experience across product management, marketing, strategy, commercialization, product development or an equivalent, ideally within healthcare, life sciences or medical devices.
