Location: Preston (Lancashire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Role description
Join our 12-month Finance Undergraduate Placement to gain real world finance experience across areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Project Finance, Financial Controls & Systems and more. You’ll support cost management, budgeting, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end reporting, while working closely with experienced professionals. You’ll also gain exposure to financial governance and leadership by shadowing senior team members. This hands on placement is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge, build key skills, and understand the financial operations of a global business. It’s a great opportunity to develop professionally and explore a career in finance with us.
Core duties
• Support financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
• Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations and financial controls to maintain data integrity and compliance.
• Build effective relationships across teams, communicating financial information in a clear and accessible way.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, using technology and data to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, teamwork and a willingness to learn and adapt.

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Physics.
