Job Title: Through Life Support Engineer

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £41,361+ Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Extracting Actionable Insights: Derive meaningful insights from engineering and maintenance data to maximize business value and efficiency
  • Managing Data Pipelines: Oversee ingestion, cleaning, verification, and retrieval of large volumes of data for analytic and business use
  • Developing and Maintaining Toolsets: Manage, test, and enhance data-driven tools like EAGLE and ASSET 3000, ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Coordinating Updates and Changes: Implement software updates, manage server/database patches, and perform functional tests to minimize risk and downtime
  • Customer Interaction and Reporting: Interface with internal/external customers to define data needs, compile reports, and support Quality and Safety compliance
  • Providing Training and Support: Train users on toolsets and generate routine and ad-hoc reports to ensure data consistency and availability

Your skills and experiences:

  • HNC/HND educated in Aeronautical or Through Life Engineering
  • Understanding of Database Structures
  • Enthusiastic and inquisitive approach to problem solving
  • Good interpersonal skills and Team worker
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient or at a minimum competent in all standard desktop Microsoft applications including MS Access

Desirable

  • Ideally a familiarity with Standard Query Language (SQL)
  • Some understanding of applicable Military Standards (Mil-Stan 1388, Def-Stan 0060) would be advantageous but not essential

The Through Life Support Data Analysis Engineering Team:

Join the Through Life Support Data Analysis Engineering Team, a highly skilled and motivated group of 5 Data Analytics Engineers dedicated to driving innovation and efficiency across the business. This team is an integral part of the Support Data Products team within the Support Delivery Unit, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver bespoke support solutions.

As a customer-focused and collaborative unit, the team interfaces with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and customers to define data needs, compile reports, and support Quality and Safety compliance. Leveraging advanced data analysis, the team ensures that aircraft maintenance data is effectively utilized to facilitate operational success, business growth, and profitability.
