Subcontracts Specialist

Role Description:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for establishing, awarding, and managing appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to meet the organisation’s cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives. Through effective supplier relationship and performance management, the role ensures value is maximised while risks are minimised.
Core Duties:
- Proactively manage the performance of suppliers to achieve the requirements of the contract from a schedule, cost and quality perspective, developing and embedding the relevant KPIs.
- Aid the procurement elements of bids and tenders ensuring robust definition of requirements and commercial terms.
- Support the supplier evaluation process and support sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business.

- Lead supplier negotiations and finalise Supplier Agreements and purchase orders in accordance with set procedures and Delegations Of Authority.
Essential Skills:
- Degree qualified in an engineering or commercial discipline – desirable.
- Ability to form strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Previous exposure to Project Management will be highly regarded.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organisational boundaries to deliver business outcomes.
- Proven capability to build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders within a project‑based environment.
