Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Operations & Business Coordination Lead

Location: Based mostly onsite at Glascoed, with the ability to travel and support Munitions Director where needed

Salary: Circa £60,000 dependent on skills and experiences with bonus scheme

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Monitor and track the performance of ongoing projects and business processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and addressing operational challenges as they arise
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead Strategic Execution: Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring they are on track, within budget, and aligned with company objectives
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Continuously identify areas for operational improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyse performance data, preparing insights and reports for senior leadership to inform decision-making
  • Team Leadership & Support: Manage and motivate cross-functional teams, providing guidance and resolving issues to ensure high performance and smooth execution of business initiatives

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to set clear business goals, align teams around strategic initiatives, and drive organizational change
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Proven experience managing complex projects across departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration
  • Business Planning & Execution: Expertise in developing long-term business strategies and executing them with precision
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to liaise with senior leadership and key stakeholders to drive decision-making
  • Change Management: Skilled in leading organizational change, overcoming resistance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Operational Excellence: Expertise in improving operational processes, optimising workflows, and ensuring high levels of efficiency
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to make informed decisions based on data, performance metrics, and KPIs
  • Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating business risks, particularly in high-growth or complex environments

The Munitions team;

As the Strategic Operations & Business Coordination Lead you will reporting to the Munitions Director, this is a new role created to support the director to ensure business cohesion and aligned priorities in support of organisational performance across the Munitions business.
