Job Title: Senior Works Services Engineer

Location: Warton/Samlesbury, Onsite

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll support projects through all phases aligned to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Plan of Work, ensuring delivery meets company and departmental quality standards. You’ll interpret customer requirements, support design development, implement plans, secure specification approvals and contribute to robust financial business cases.

You’ll procure and collaborate with multi-disciplinary consultant teams to deliver new buildings, major refurbishments and large-scale infrastructure upgrades. You’ll coordinate onsite contractor activities safely and take responsibility for installations, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, building control requirements and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Core duties:

  • You’ll hold a degree or HNC/D in Construction, Building Services, or related built environment disciplines, including surveying, project management, energy, sustainability
  • You’ll possess a PM qualification (APM) or relevant experience, handling multi-disciplinary contractor activities while ensuring health, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • You’ll have experience with construction, manufacturing plant, and equipment installations, coordinating teams and technical requirements effectively
  • You’ll be comfortable coaching contractors in full compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM), maintaining safety and governance standards

The Investment Projects Team:

The team delivers facility upgrades, refurbishments, new builds, and plant installations across BAE Systems sites. They manage infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards, providing diverse, impactful work in secure industrial environments.
