Job Title: Senior Through Life Engineering Services Engineer

Location: Prestwick, 3-4 days in office per week

What you’ll be doing :

In this position, you will be managing and supporting more junior members of the team to define, design, and deliver support systems to ensure aircraft remain fully operational. This includes developing key components such as ground equipment, publications, and other support deliverables, as well as specifying and designing each element. You will work closely with customers to provide effective ongoing support and act as a key interface between the product and the customer, using your system knowledge to ensure optimal performance and meet customer needs.

Core duties:

• Capture and prioritise through-life support requirements
• Support TLS concept definition and maturity with architects
• Lead & manage TLS teams to deliver compliant outputs
• Apply consistent engineering standards across organisations
• Manage system integration and resolve conflicts
• Capture and escalate DAREO items
• Coordinate Technical and Gate Review inputs

Essential Skills:

• Degree in a relevant STEM field (or equivalent experience), such as Engineering, Physics, Maths, Science, or IT
• Previous experience leading a team, preferably in a customer support environment
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, verification, validation, and testing
• Experience applying engineering lifecycle frameworks for military air platform development and support (e.g. ASEL, MoD CAMID)
• Experience contributing to design, technical, or engineering maturity reviews

The Through Life Engineering Team:

We work across GCAP and Typhoon in a multi-customer, international environment. You will develop and deliver support strategies and solutions to sustain and optimise air systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders including Mission Systems, Software Engineering, Aircraft Test, and Design teams to define and deliver required support equipment.
