Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Portsdown Technology Park, Portsmouth, Hybrid, 3 days per week on site

Salary: Circa £56,000

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll take ownership and accountability for task allocation and provide Engineering support to the Tools and Tech Lead to enable suitable planning. You’ll collaborate within the team to undertake System and Tools troubleshooting and maintenance, update software and network configuration as required. You’ll support and own the generation and execution of requirements, design, testing and deployment of Systems and Tools

You’ll manage and support System and Software ‘Bugs’ and collaborate with subcontractors and partners to conduct system updates and provide technical guidance to end users. You’ll support Engineering Lifecycle activities, including technical reviews, verification and approval of engineering technical design and documentation.

Core duties:

• You’ll bring good experience and knowledge in application of Network, Virtual Machines, Systems and Software-based products
• You’ll have some experience of supporting Configuration Management
• You’ll demonstrate a good understanding and applied experience of the Engineering / System lifecycle
• You’ll have some understanding of IP networks (protocols, switching & routing)
