Who we are:

Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.

From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

What you’ll be doing:

You will help ensure ICS facilities remain compliant with infrastructure legislation, customer mandates and BAE Systems policies, supporting the safe and effective operation of sites across the UK. Your role involves supporting minor works and mitigating technical facilities risks, overseeing contractor services, and contributing to governance reviews, audits and safety checks.

You’ll also support space maintenance and play a key role in facilities refurbishment, redesign and renovation projects from a technical and project perspective. Alongside this, the position contributes to maintenance reviews and works closely with the SHE Advisor to strengthen safety values, including the development and review of site premises event plans.

Core duties:

  • You will bring considerable Facilities Management experience, monitoring technical building systems, maintenance activity and infrastructure compliance.
  • You’ll demonstrate advanced knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and electrical infrastructure within multi-faceted operational environments.
  • You will hold Electrical Certification (City & Guilds Level 2/3 Diploma 2365 or equivalent) and 18th Edition qualification.
  • You’ll possess ACOP L8 Legionella Awareness training and considerable understanding of facilities safety and compliance requirements.
  • You will act as a subject matter expert in electrical engineering and maintenance, supporting technical strategy-making.
  • You’ll have a full UK driving licence and experience overseeing facilities projects across operational sites.

The Infrastructure Site & Facilities Team:

Join a small, collaborative team delivering facilities and asset lifecycle governance across ICS platforms. Working closely with Shared Services, contractors and subcontractors, the team ensures infrastructure is maintained, projects progress smoothly and operational needs are met, offering robust development opportunities and exposure to senior stakeholders.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
