Job Description

Job title: PM&C (Project Management & Control) Professional

Location: Weapon Systems UK, Barrow in Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £45,383+ (Depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team
  • You will ensure essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management, provide guidance and application of Project Management techniques whilst also handling the implementation of appropriately tailored practices
  • You will adapt own project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • You are going to exercise full management authority, including performance reviews, discipline and other personnel actions
  • You will also be responsible for training members of the team, monitoring their quality of work and contributing to pay decisions

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • University Degree, or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience (Application of related PM Competencies will be expected at this level)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Project Control policies, processes, procedures and systems (SAP Experience, Microsoft Projects and Excel)
  • Comprehensive Project Control experience demonstrated in a professional capacity and the specialist skills to ensure procedures are followed with the ability to define the standards which the others will operate and guides others in application of Project Control processes
  • Knowledge and experience of PM governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
  • Gathers and analyses information, supports development of solutions and of implementation approaches, and be able to perform advanced project reporting & scheduling

Desirable:

  • PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification/ PMQ
