Role Description:

The SSNA Engineering team are looking for a strong technical and problem solving, Senior Engineer -Mechanical Engineering (Secondary Propulsion)to join the team. In this role you will lead the development and maturation of complex propulsion equipment, manage system interfaces, and provide technical leadership within a highly collaborative design-focused team.

This is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to work alongside specialist suppliers to develop bespoke engineering solutions and to be involved in the end-to-end product development from concept through qualification and delivery.

Core duties:

• Lead development of mechanical propulsion equipment through the design and product maturation lifecycle
• Own technical requirements and drive design solutions that meet functional, safety, quality and programme needs
• Manage interfaces across equipment, systems, suppliers and wider platform transversals
• Review technical deliverables including calculations, CAD models, technical specifications and design reports
