Job Title: Senior Agile Programme Delivery Lead

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £63,900 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will take accountability for the Programme Management aspects of delivering a novel software control product and associated products of national importance
  • You will directly manage a team of 6 Project Managers and 11 Scrum Masters who are embedded in the much larger delivery teams consisting of more than 200 people, who’s delivery you will be ultimately accountable for
  • You will report to the Head of Functional Software and be expected to support, and on occasion represent the Head of Functional Software at key delivery forums – including up to Senior Director and Managing Director levels
  • You will deliver the Programme in a hybrid fashion, majoring on Agile Techniques, for the majority of the organisation, but linking into waterfall when required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the AS Dreadnought Operations Project Manager, and the wider Project Management Office to ensure that the aspects of the Integrated Master Schedule, are regularly, and accurately reported, using data driven out of the Agile toolsets
  • Take responsibility for producing metrics that provide lead indicators across the FS Delivery Stream and provide analysis and recommendations to the head of Functional Software based on these metrics

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven Project Management Experience in both a Delivery and Project Control environment, using Agile methods and using toolsets like Atlassian or similar
  • Experience leading teams, providing guidance and coaching
  • Ability to solve complex problems, balance business and Customer requirements and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Ability to synthesise project information
  • Experience with data analysis and using data to drive decision making
  • A relevant Project Management qualification eg Agile or APM, would be desirable

The Agile PM team:

You will lead the delivery of innovative software and system modelling for the Dreadnought project, a first-of-its-kind functionality. Operating in a highly complex and mission-critical landscape, this position involves leading an Agile delivery approach customized for the project’s unique requirements.

As the leader of a large, multidisciplinary delivery team, you will oversee the coordination of Project Managers and Scrum Masters, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective delivery for over 200 professionals. A key focus will be optimizing Agile processes and ensuring seamless integration within the wider program framework
