Location: : Barrow-in-Furness – (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week) dependent on business needs.

Salary: £24,240 (Commensurate with skills and experience)

Job Description:
As part of the Engineering Function you will be expected to undertake a range of activities to provide secretarial administrative support to Line Management, their project teams and support the efficiency and smooth running of the department. You will have an understanding of the systems, processes and procedures and their importance within the general operation of the department.
Core duties:
- Managing Calendars
- Co-ordinating weekly meetings (WSUMs)
- Managing functional minutes and actions
- Supporting the teams Comms agenda and take some initiative for social activities
- Co-ordination of annual Engineering Awards, including submissions
- Co-ordination of Nuclear Baseline administration activities
- Supporting engineering recruitment activities
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office in particular PowerPoint/ SharePoint / Excel / JIRA / Confluence
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to a high standard
- Demonstrates eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and continuously improve, contributing lasting value to a dynamic team
- Some experience of providing secretarial support to a Team, or experience of providing an administrative service.
- An understanding of how to deal with Confidential Information/Issues and how to store appropriately.
The Engineering Function:
The Engineering Function is responsible for Engineering People development, process, strategy, performance and improvement. It is also responsible for the early careers, career framework, Toolsets and resourcing and supply solutions.
