Job Description

Job Title: Quality Logistics Auditor

Location: Samlesbury-On site We offer a range flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £49,400+ Dependent of experience

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain and oversee functional procedures and process governance across the AIR Sector, ensuring effective control and management of BAE Systems and customer-owned property, including reviewing and aligning with relevant logistics processes and standards
  • Facilitate all asset-related internal and supply chain audits, support customer third-party audits, conduct physical asset checks across AIR Sector businesses, projects, subcontractors, 3PL service providers, and nominated storage facilities, and lead the development and generation of comprehensive management reports
  • Manage a risk-based audit schedule for assets and tool control in alignment with company strategy, incorporating financial and performance indicators to ensure effective oversight and continuous improvement
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across internal manufacturing and BAE Systems supply chain subcontractors, ensuring the effective oversight and resolution of non-conformances throughout the supply chain
  • Lead and carry out Internal Manufacturing (1st Party) and Sub-contractor (2nd Party) property tool control audits, surveillance and reviews travelling to UK, Europe and International

Your skills and experiences

Essential

  • A good understanding of Tool Control / Management processes and an understanding of appropriate Production Control and Logistics theories
  • Previous experience within a logistics, quality or assurance environment
  • A high level of stakeholder management, being able to communicate effectively with suppliers building professional relationships delivering information and data

Desirable

  • Knowledge of existing and past customer contracts/processes, including Defence Standards, UK MOD Defence Conditions & relevant Supply Chain Standards
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP / Factory Systems, EAM system

The Quality Control Team

Be part of a dynamic 32-person team dedicated to ensuring the effective management, storage, and utilisation of critical manufacturing assets across BAE Systems’ internal and external supply chain. This role offers the opportunity to work on globally significant programmes, including Typhoon, F35, and future cutting-edge projects, with international travel and exposure to multiple platforms.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business and supply chain, building good relationships while gaining end-to-end visibility of the supply chain, from cradle to grave.
