Role Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist within our Surface Ships team in Osborne, SA. In this role, you will be responsible to perform a range of quality assurance activities, ensuring quality practices are being effectively deployed.
Core Duties:
- Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and provide support with corrective and preventative actions
- Conduct Quality Investigations as required
- Provide coaching, advice and support to stakeholders on quality assurance related matters and processes
- Undertake quality process system activities including quality assurance reviews and validate data to ensure it meets program requirements
- Champion the quality assurance activities, ensuring quality standards/outcomes are achieved and in line with quality standards, program and company requirements
- Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture
- Support and implement continuous improvement and quality engineering/assurance improvement activities
- Contribute to the management and effectiveness of the “business management system” process asset library
About You
- Demonstrated quality assurance experience and individuals with experience in shipbuilding, engineering or in a relevant field, will also be considered
- An understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental & Asset Management Standards (9001, 45001, 14001, 55001) and practices
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to develop reports and documents
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Whilst not essential, a Lead Auditor qualification or a relevant technical qualification, or Maritime industry experience, will be highly regarded
