Job Title: Project Delivery Lead

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £54,793+ Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

The FCAS Secure Infrastructure Project Delivery Lead role is focused into the following key areas;

  • Accountable for the integration of the shared service delivery teams to deliver critical highly complex secure infrastructure capabilities, at scale, to enable critical path programme activities to operate both nationally and internationally at elevated security classifications – projects range from c.£1-45m in investment value
  • Responsible for the integration of Programme management plans across a range of physical and digital capabilities, this is associated with engineering operations, manufacturing and test evaluation facilities. The aim is to ensure capability insertion in line with complex operational demands and conflicting priorities
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder management reviews to deliver secure infrastructure requirements, this is across BAE Systems FCAS and UK MOD stakeholders, the feedback of which will require implementing into the facility plans and may influence capability design to support the programme delivery strategy
  • The overall goal is to enable the successful delivery of secure infrastructure capabilities ensuring UK MOD security accreditation and ongoing security integrity, through demonstrating compliance and process development
  • Management of assigned budget and support to bid activities for Secure Infrastructure projects, inclusive of labour and non-labour requirements

Desirable:

  • Project Management APM Qualified/Chartered
  • Effective Leadership experience
  • Microsoft Project

  • PM APMP Qualification

The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Secure Infrastructure Team:

The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) Secure Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering the physical & digital infrastructure needs for the FCAS programme – including the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) – through the programme lifecycle including facilities & IT solutions for Engineering, Test & Evaluation and Manufacturing activities. The team integrates & manages requirements from internal & customer stakeholders, defines projects and works with various BAES shared service delivery teams with an ‘Integrated Project Team’ approach to ensure the successful delivery of the FCAS programme. This is a challenging and highly complex area of the FCAS programme which involves a broad range of PM & business competencies across a large and diverse portfolio of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a key area of the FCAS programme within a growing team. As the Training Lead for Devices and Technology, you’ll work closely with the Through Life Support Training Manager to address the UK-specific needs of the FCAS program, while also contributing to the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) in collaboration with our international partners in Japan and Italy.
