Role Description:
The Project Controller is responsible for executing the proper use of the company Schedule Management System through corporate Lifecycle Management (LCM) framework so that the project management team can adequately monitor and report on project cost, schedule progress and risk status.
Core Duties:
- Accountable for providing the required level of execution and contribution towards delivering the project controls scope of work in support of the schedule baseline, the effective use of project controls tool sets and integration with project reporting as required by the project team.
- Establish and maintain a fully resourced and integrated Project Schedule and Control Account detailed schedules
- Establish and maintain the Work Package (or tailored Planning packages/ tasks) level including EV techniques
- Use schedule tools (Open Plan / Primavera / Microsoft Project)
- Execute the month-end process of Control Account status reporting, schedule status and forecasting, remaining hours/ durations to complete data input, provision of progress and schedule variance analysis reports, critical path analysis, float analysis & alignment between Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) dictionary and schedule details
Essential Skills:
- Proven performance at a similar level OR demonstrated proven performance and progression in the scheduling domain
- Experience with Project Control toolsets such as Open Plan and Primavera P6 essential.
- Ability to see patterns, trends, or missing pieces
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside immediate team, to implement business requirements
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost
- Ability to use good written and verbal communication skills is important to this role
