Role Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Product Security Lead within the HF Surveillance Department based in Adelaide.

Reporting to the HF Export Program Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Product Security Engineers in supporting the development, delivery and sustainment of technology and ‘turn-key’ mission critical Defence Radar Systems for export customers.

The role is responsible for the provision of definitive and timely advice to ensure the systems and products delivered by the Program are appropriately secure by design, implementation and in operation. This advice being evidence led and based on best practice. The role will ensure the provision of security engineering support to concurrent Projects and have interactions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including those in transverse engineering disciplines.

Core Duties:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Product Security related effort to analyse and identify security vulnerabilities in complex systems, develop and maintain associated product security risk and compliance assessments, and inform system designs
  • Ensure the tactical and strategic demand for Product Security capability (People, Process and Tools) within the Program is appropriate and aligned with Company requirements
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to a team of Product Security experts
  • Champion the use of ‘Best Practice’ processes and methods across the Program
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to support the execution of Product Security effort on the Program

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications and experience satisfying the requirements for membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Product Security engineering role covering one or more disciplines, including Cyber, Physical, Supply Chain, COMSEC
  • Experience in establishing functional requirements, design, implementation, integration, qualification and operational use within the product security field
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks (e.g. PSPF, ISM, NIST, ISO27K, etc.) and legislation related to security
  • Extensive experience with a broad range of technologies
  • Strong communication skills – the ability to vocalise security constraints and rationale to various stakeholders (at all levels)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is highly desirable
  • The ability to keep abreast of current trends and events relating to security
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
