Role Description:

Our Innovation team have a new opportunity for an Engineering Team Lead based at the Innovation district in Tonsley, South Australia working across our Maritime programs. In this role, you will contribute to purposeful work throughout the entire ship lifecycle of current and future platforms.

Using your curiosity and technical insight you will ensure engineering outputs are developed in accordance with the approved company standard procedures and processes and meet the agreed operational needs of the customer including product safety and security.

Core Duties:

  • Lead the project engineering team in the realisation of the innovative engineering solutions in the Internet of Things (IoT) space, advancing our capability in Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Contribute to technical solution development, ensuring alignment with customer needs, system constraints, and future scalability
  • Support the detailed planning, estimating and staffing profile for the Innovation work packages
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, OEMs, SMEs, VIPs, academia
  • Identify and report technical risks, subcontractors, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with project and enterprise goals
  • Mentor and develop team members

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic, Computer Systems Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated Team leadership experience
  • Ability to lead the delivery of technical solutions that meet complex operational and regulatory requirements
  • Current Baseline Defence security clearance with the eligibility to obtain NV1
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
