Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior PM Business Operations Manager, the Stores Controller plays a key role in maintaining the Broad Oak and New Malden stores while providing logistical support across the business, including the operation of the on-site warehouse. The role is responsible for accurately processing and maintaining records to ensure full traceability of material movements, managing incoming deliveries, supporting reporting activities, and assisting with audit requirements.

Working closely with Manufacturing and Project teams, you will help ensure materials and resources are available where needed, while following established Business Management System (BMS) processes and governance standards. This is a varied role that contributes to the efficient delivery of operational and project activities.

Core duties:

  • You will record all transactions (movements, transfers, disposal or delivery) to ensure traceability of Government Furnished Equipment and project stock
  • Review and update SAP inventory records for GFE and project stock held on the system

  • Provide visible active commitment to SHE and Quality
  • You will issue stock and materials to support manufacturing, project delivery, and ship support activities

Essential Skills:

  • Experience managing inventory and stock movements, consistently meeting service levels and operational requirements
  • Confident responding to customer enquiries, providing clear information, guidance, and effective support
  • Accurate and detail-oriented when maintaining, updating, and cleansing inventory and operational data
  • Able to analyse, interpret, and report on data, identifying trends, improvements, and appropriate actions

The Combat Systems Stores & Inventory Team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Combat Systems Supply Chain Function, working within the GFE & Project Stores Team, supporting a wide range of projects, including our RECODE, NCSISS and SMCS projects.

You would be joining a team of three stores personnel, sitting within the wider supply chain function. The role is an exciting, time sensitive position, working across a number of critical programs.
