Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Procurement Operations team, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient, compliant and high-quality procurement services. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end transactional procurement activities, from processing requisitions and purchase orders to maintaining accurate supplier data and resolving queries across the company. Working closely with Category Leads, internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will help to deliver for the company, improve processes and support performance reporting. This role offers the chance to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and operational excellence, while ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Core duties:

  • Process requisitions and purchase order amendments in line with agreed service levels as part of the Procurement Operations & Systems team
  • Partner with Indirect Procurement Category Leads to support delivery of procurement strategies
  • Manage outstanding debt and reporting, including leading regular reviews and collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate supplier data and records across procurement systems (e.g. Coupa, SAP, Oracle) while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  • Monitor team performance metrics, contribute to dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process enhancements
  • Act as a key point of contact for procurement queries, provide cross-team support, and assist with activities such as export control documentation and shared service projects

Essential Skills:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of transactional work accurately
  • Foundation level knowledge of the requirements of end-to-end procurement and business processes
  • High level of IT literacy, including advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate system records
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and service levels
  • Good understanding of the Requisition-to-Order process and systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Coupa or other ERP platforms) is desirable

The Procurement Operations Team:

The Procurement Operations team within our Shared Services business is responsible for executing indirect procurement transactions and purchase order placement across UK lines of business.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to directly support the business while looking for opportunities to improve on our procurement offering to become best in class. It is an exciting time to be joining the Procurement Operations & Systems Team, with a number of structural changes being carried out to improve efficiency and people development.

As part of the Shared Services team, you’ll be at the heart of this endeavour – working closely with our Air, Maritime, Land and Cyber and Digital Intelligence businesses to support our customers around the world.
