Job title: Procurement Manager
Location: Qatar-Doha
Salary: 215,000 QAR + depending on experience plus Nature Of Work Allowance
What you’ll be doing:
- Integrate within the Qatar Programme team as a trusted partner that can be engaged to provide support to operational and contractual performance
- Reach back through the broader BAE Systems organisation to provide support, expertise, guidance, governance and best practice
- Support the broader BAE Systems organisation and Training Procurement SDU with Procurement strategy and development of innovative solutions that maximise suppliers capabilities and contributes to their success
- Manage the contractual performance and outcomes of sub-contract business critical as defined in the Sub-Contract agreement
- Support business critical subcontract projects
- Guides the programme to develop innovative solutions to very complex issues and acts as best practice expert within and outside own discipline. Could influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Excellent contract management skills Experience of negotiating and managing complex contractual agreements and terms & conditions
- Excellent procurement skills, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management
- Cross functional stakeholder collab management skills
Desirable
- Data fluency, ability to analysis and interpret data to drive informed decision making as well as developing & implementing strategy
- Likely to be qualified to Degree standard/or equivalent or hold a Level 6 professional qualification (for example MCIPS or applicable ISM)

The Procurement Team
This is a unique opportunity to join AIR’s Supply Chain Procurement function, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement / VP for Qatar and Oman, and to play a pivotal role in managing and shaping critical subcontractor relationships within a high-profile operational environment.
The role has full ownership of contract and performance management for a key sub-contract provider (BSL), offering genuine autonomy and accountability. With the core procurement team based in the UK, this position provides a high level of independence, trust, and visibility, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a self-directed role and enjoys operating with confidence in a remote leadership capacity.
You will work closely with a broad range of functional counterparts across the business, influencing outcomes and driving performance across complex, cross-functional interfaces. Regular travel to multiple sites across Qatar will provide exposure to operational delivery on the ground, enabling you to build trusted relationships and ensure contractual performance aligns with business objectives.
Success in this role requires the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, manage complexity, and collaborate effectively across functions, all while maintaining a sharp focus on delivery and performance.
