Job Description:
As a Procurement Professional within the Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) team, you will support the delivery of procurement and supply chain activities across a highly collaborative and innovative development programme. Working closely with engineering, project, commercial, and supplier stakeholders, you will oversee sophisticated supplier relationships, coordinate procurement activities, and help ensure contractual, funding, and programme requirements are successfully delivered throughout the project lifecycle.
Core duties:
- Support FCAS bid activities by coordinating procurement inputs and ensuring contractual and funding requirements are met
- Oversee suppliers and partners throughout the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, maintaining effective relationships and overseeing a multi-faceted order book
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, and wider Integrated Project Team (IPT) stakeholders to drive actions and support programme delivery
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to govern dependencies, support negotiations, monitor contract performance, and resolve issues that may impact delivery
- Assess procurement and supplier data, producing reports and recommendations that support strategy-making, budget management, and supply chain strategies
Essential Skills:
- Experience within a procurement, supply chain, or commercial environment, ideally gained within aerospace, defence, engineering, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
- Experience maintaining supplier relationships, contracts, bids, or procurement activities, with an understanding of commercial terms and conditions
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, influencing stakeholders and coordinating activities to support programme targets
- Proficient analytical skills, with experience interpreting data, producing reports, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders
- Adept in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP or other procurement and business systems

The FCAS team operates in a collaborative and forward-looking environment, identifying innovative supply chain solutions to support future air capability. The team works closely with engineering, project, and supplier partners, offering exposure to development programmes, procurement activities, and emerging technologies.
