Job Description
Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements and Acceptance
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Filton, Frimley, Portsmouth, Weymouth or Manchester. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead on the integration of SWS Requirements from the SWS Major System Design Authority (Trident Systems Project Team) onto UK Dreadnought Platform Systems as linked through the Ship Specification in DOORS
- Lead on change management of the SWS Requirement set in DOORS
- Lead on review of Requirements Acceptance Forms for Ships Specification Verification Goals with linked SWS Requirements to ensure they provide explicit and unequivocal arguments supported by objective qualified evidence to substantiate verification compliance claims
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on matters pertaining to their discipline, uses interpersonal skills in communicating technical design matters
- Work with a high degree of technical autonomy, demonstrate a commitment to professional design engineering principles and values
Your skills and experiences:
- Eng or equivalent level of capability gained through substantial relevant work-based experience. May be working towards CEng
- Significant experience in Requirements elicitation and management and/or design independent verification, validation and acceptance certification and acceptance of complex products and systems and experience of using requirements management tools (DOORs, Cradle)
- A strong understanding of other related project, product, programme, domain, discipline and functional teams of submarines or equivalent external bodies
