Placement Description:

We are looking to fill a Marketing/Comms placement. Vocational Placements at BAE Systems Australia are unpaid work experience opportunities for university students, linked to their academic studies and degree programs. These placements are designed to support student development by providing professional experience and insight into the workplace. Through these opportunities, students can apply their university knowledge and develop the skills needed to successfully transition from study to work, while also enabling industry to contribute to the development of work-ready graduates. Where possible, vocational placements should be linked to a defence industry scholarship program, such as the Defence Industry Connect Program. This placement opportunity is for semester 2, ideally start of August for two days a week for 4-6 weeks. The successful applicant will work alongside high performing communications professionals delivering content and activities about BAE Systems Australia, its partners and key Defence programs. You’ll be helping us capture great content, tell compelling company stories and work with the team to deliver video, words and pictures across the company’s portfolio of businesses including submarines, warship construction and sustainment, fast jets, autonomous vehicles and world leading radar technology.
