Salary: £65,498+ depending on experience

Job Description:

In this role, you will lead a production team delivering high‑tolerance, cutting‑edge aircraft components and assemblies to demanding programme schedules. You will ensure all outputs meet rigorous quality and safety standards while effectively managing costs within your area of responsibility. The role involves driving operational efficiency, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and leading continuous improvement activities to achieve consistent, high‑performance manufacturing outcomes in a demanding aerospace environment.

Core duties:

• Integrating and aligning your team against key objectives, linking to strategic business performance and recognising that good employee engagement is the foundation required to achieve a culture of a total performance.
• Effectively managing differing and sometimes conflicting priorities of the business utilising judgement and experience to inform senior stakeholders.
• Reporting on the performance of the business area; identifying trends, potential problems or opportunities and to propose and implement ways in which performance can be improved.
• Ensuring the adoption of best practice tools and techniques to ensure problems are resolved at root cause and systemic issues are prevented from reoccurring through clearly defined and communicated process change

Essential Skills:

• Experience of delivering complex operational outcomes that enable strong schedule and financial performance within a manufacturing or similar environment
• A high energy leader with a focussed and objective management style and strong leadership competence e.g. decision making, communicating, motivating, selecting/developing people, taking proactive actions.

The Air Manufacturing Team:

As a Product Manager within Air Manufacturing, you’ll be at the heart of a fast‑paced, delivery‑driven environment, working on key Air Sector programmes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on challenge and variety, where priorities can shift and delivery is critical. You’ll be working closely with cross‑functional teams to manage priorities across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance – ensuring all business Key Performance Indicators are achieved.
