Role Description:
The successful candidate will work within the Logistics Team reporting to the Manufacturing Resource Leader and provide effective support to the Logistics Department. This role is initially located in Goods Receiving, focusing on the booking in and receipt of purchased items and repaired units, but with the flexibility to work in other logistics areas when instructed.
The purpose of this role is to safely and responsibly receive and book in PO items as well as items purchased ad hoc, whilst also being involved with the incoming repair items sent to us by a variety of Civil/Military customers. This is carried out against pre-established SLAs with a strong focus on turnaround time, accountability, and traceability. As part of the logistics function there will be the expectation to Crosstrain amongst other Logistics functions as and when needed- to improve resiliency of the team. These could include Stores, SMT Stores, Packing and Dispatch.
Core Duties:
- Book items onto Oracle
- Visually inspecting incoming repairs for transit damage
- Checking Documentation against an established Criteria and documenting when issues arise
- Ensure the highest level of traceability is maintained
- Manual Handling of loads
- FOD Awareness
- Handling Of ESD Components
- Liaise with shop floor technicians, project planners and engineering
Essential Skills:
- IT Literate
- Inspection experience – desirable (nice to have but can teach)
- Entry level role- Wanting to learn and develop
