Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Engineering Integration at the heart of a complex, multi-national programme, playing a key role in shaping and delivering the Integrated Test, Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) strategy to support system certification and qualification. You will work across a broad range of engineering disciplines and business functions, collaborating with joint venture partners, government stakeholders, and lead system integrators to develop and mature international test schedules, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure efficient delivery of critical test data. The role offers the chance to influence the overall test and evaluation operating model, contribute to resource and infrastructure planning, and drive the use of digital tools, modelling, and simulation to enhance programme delivery. You will also support the establishment of a Combined Trials Team across international partners, gaining unique exposure to large-scale system-of-systems development. With a clear pathway to develop into a leadership position, this role provides an excellent platform to broaden your experience and play a pivotal part in the delivery of the GCAP programme.

Core duties:

  • Develop and deliver a Joint Industry/Government Integrated Test, Evaluation & Acceptance (ITEA) plan to support certification and qualification activities.
  • Mature and manage the international Test & Evaluation schedule, identifying key risks, dependencies, and opportunities while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and T&E stakeholders.
  • Define SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) requirements and work with the Lead Systems Integrator and Joint Venture partners to develop and implement an effective resource strategy.
  • Support the Capability Working Group in identifying infrastructure needs, working closely with enabler teams to align on capability milestones.
  • Contribute to the Planning Working Group to develop an integrated, consolidated schedule, incorporating certification and qualification test scope, as well as detailed synthetic and physical rig plans.
  • Collaborate with digital teams to identify and implement opportunities for modelling, simulation, and other digital techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the test programme.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree educated in a STEM discipline, or HND/HNC with relevant engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle, with Chartership achieved or in progress
  • Background in a Test & Evaluation environment
  • Experience with Model-Based Engineering approaches and supporting tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to break down complex challenges into clear, actionable work packages
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with external partners and customers

The Engineering Integration Team:

Join a high-performing Engineering Integration team at the heart of complex, cutting-edge programmes, where collaboration across disciplines is key to success. This team plays a critical role in translating customer needs into robust, certifiable system solutions, defining requirements early, shaping solution architectures, and ensuring seamless integration across the full engineering lifecycle. Working closely with international partners, government bodies, and industry stakeholders, you’ll contribute to the development of safe, effective, and innovative systems, while supporting the delivery of integrated trial activities through a truly collaborative, multi-national environment.
