Job title: IT Leader – Business Relationship Management

What you’ll be doing:

• Represent the boat programme within the IM&T Directorate, ensuring that variations, impacts and priorities are reflected back into the leadership for all IM&T Directorate initiatives that affect the ‘Programme’ in a different manner than the core business
• Coordinating Service Strategy with customer goals working across IM&T teams (Architecture, Service Delivery, Operations, Solution Design, Project Management, Information Security and Strategy and Engagement
• Chairing the IM&T Programme Engagement / IM&T Service Delivery and Monthly Programme Assurance Meetings
• Coordinating Quarterly IM&T Directorate to boat programme Steering Boards and all actions emerging
• Maintaining alignment of projects, IM&T change programmes and IM&T service support affecting the boat programmes
• Lead the development of the strategic boat programme requirements through roadmap development, and co-ordinate the effort of the supporting functions dependencies
• Identifying service improvement opportunities and co-ordinating the boat programmes and IM&T to achieve the improvement
• The evaluation and coordination of all IM&T change programmes and IM&T service support affecting the boat programmes

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to apply skills and knowledge to a wide range of complex problems
• A strategic thinker with the ability to distil complex issues, opportunities and challenges
• Understanding of the IT Services
• Previous experience from a Manufacturing, Defence or IT discipline

Desirable:

• Qualification or equivalent in (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) ITIL, or extensive relevant experience
• Application of Business Relationship Management (BRM)/Programme Engagement across multi-disciplinary organisations

The IM&T Team:

This position will provide you with a unique opportunity to represent IM&T in a leadership role within one of the Submarine programmes; engaging with the business at a strategic level and influencing the IM&T related direction of the boat programmes. You will be working in partnership with the business areas to ensure effective relationships between the boat programmes and IM&T are maintained, Strategic Investments are planned, and Critical Service issues are addressed as priority.
