Job Title: HR Advisor – 12 month FTC

Location: Scotstoun – 2-3 days a week onsite

Job Description:

This role supports the delivery of the People Plan by identifying organisational needs and strengthening people capability across the business. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to enhance the employee experience and ensure HR solutions meet sector requirements. Partnering with senior leaders, you’ll apply our organisation design methodology to assess current structures, shape roles and ways of working, and ensure our operating model remains aligned with strategic priorities.

Core duties:

  • You will provide organisation design knowledge to support analysis, restructures and workforce transformation, including spans, layers, role clarity and capability
  • Ensure you develop OD behaviours aligned to strategy and partner with leaders to design efficient, sustainable organisational structures
  • This role will require you to use data insights to inform recommendations and model future workforce requirements that meet evolving business needs
  • You will offer operational HR advice across absence, talent, performance, organisational design, restructuring and wider organisational health
  • Analyse people data to benchmark performance and shape short‑ and long‑term improvements across the organisation

Essential Skills:

  • Organisation design experience, including leading restructures, shaping operating models and supporting effective, sustainable workforce change
  • Experience in large complex environments, navigating multiple stakeholders and adapting people solutions to diverse organisational needs
  • Broad HR business partnering, providing balanced, inclusive guidance across the full employee lifecycle and organisational priorities

The Naval Ships HR Team:

You’ll join the Naval Ships HR team, partnering closely with programmes and functions in a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment. You’ll also contribute to our organisation design review, supporting planning, preparation and implementation to ensure we remain fit for the future.
