Job title: Graduate Land Molecular Modeller
Location: Glascoed (Clwyd). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description
As a Graduate Molecular Modeller, you will focus on developing Quantum Mechanical and Molecular Dynamics models to increase our understanding of the behaviour of our existing and novel energetic materials in order to support our SMART Qualification initiative. You will work within the Engineering Analysis Team, alongside Project Engineers, and other stakeholders.
Core duties
- Working with stakeholders to identify, test and introduce modelling software and toolsets to support chemical modelling of novel and existing energetic materials.
- Working with stakeholders internal to the business to build models which support understanding and predicting energetic materials behaviours.
- Working alongside project engineers and stakeholders to support the execution of UKMOD projects in the field.
- Working with other areas of the wider business to support the developing and expansion of SMART Qualification.
- Supporting with ad-hoc requirements as needed.
The Land Team
Equipping the British Armed Forces and international customers with a range of munitions products, from small arms ammunition through to heavy artillery, tank ammunition, warheads, and payloads with projects including the Challenger 3 Battle Tank.

Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Chemistry.
