Description

Job title: Graduate Defence Solutions Electrical Engineer

Location: Cowes (Isle of Wight). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you’ll be doing:
• Assisting in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical power and control equipment for MOD maritime vessels.
• Supporting integration and testing of systems on new and existing platforms.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with UK MOD standards and requirements.
• Conducting performance analysis and offer engineering solutions to optimise system efficiency.

The Radar team: BAE Systems provides Radar products and support services to a diverse range of customers worldwide, including the Royal Navy. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.

Start date: 6th September 2027 Length of contract: Permanent contract
