Role Description:

BAE supports employees who require a work visa by working closely with external suppliers and partners to ensure they have the appropriate permissions and authorisations to work for the business.

The team is responsible for conducting right-to-work checks, ensuring compliance with sponsorship obligations, and managing activities related to BAE’s sponsorship licence, which enables the organisation to employ international workers.

They provide ongoing guidance and advice to the business on immigration processes, policies, and best practices, while partnering with an external immigration vendor that manages the more detailed casework and administrative aspects of the process.

This role will support immigration data management and compliance activities, ensuring that required information is accurately maintained, reported, and updated within relevant systems. The position also involves regular interaction with employees and stakeholders, so strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Core Duties:

  • Support the coordination and delivery of Global & Domestic Mobility activities, ensuring service and compliance requirements are met
  • Produce, maintain and monitor reports and dashboards to support compliance, tracking and decision-making
  • Deliver clear and timely communications to stakeholders, including assignee updates and team-wide information
  • Identify and support continuous process improvements to enhance service quality and drive efficiencies
  • Provide administrative support across the team, including mailbox management, defect tracking and coordination of internal activities

Essential Skills:

  • Experience within an administrative or coordination role, with knowledge of UK immigration processes
  • Strong IT capability, particularly across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint) and data management
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Well organised with a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement

The Global & Domestic Mobility Services Team

The Global & Domestic Mobility Services (GDMS) team supports employee mobility across the UK and internationally, covering domestic relocations and global assignments. Working with HR, the business, and external partners, the team manages relocation processes, provides policy guidance, and supports employees throughout the assignment lifecycle. They also play a key role in UK immigration for new hires and assignees, ensuring all activity is delivered efficiently and compliantly, with opportunities to develop skills in mobility, reporting, and process improvement.
