About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for an Estimating and Pricing Officer to join our SSN AUKUS team. Reporting to our Estimating & Pricing Lead SSN AUKUS, this role is responsible for supporting the management of all Estimating and Pricing (E&P) activities, to support the Line of Business (LOB) in delivering against strategic and financial objectives. These activities will include strategic pricing, estimating, cost modelling, planning, formulation, review and analysis of all cost estimates (including major project Estimate At Complete (EAC) reviews and business analysis). This role will be required to use good leadership and management skills to support the resolution of commercial cost and estimating and pricing issues using a good understanding of the wider financial, project management and customer impacts of the solutions proposed.
This role will be based in Flinders Street, SA.

Key responsibilities include:
- Support the delivery of bids and proposals as directed by the Line Manager
- Work collaboratively with E&P Leadership and the Bid Team to support delivery of accurate value for money proposals to the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) and other customers as directed
- Ensure proposals adhere to BAE Systems Australia (BAESA) E&P Processes and Procedures
- Ensure pricing tool (ProPricer/Excel) preparation & maintenance throughout each bid complies with E&P Standards and the direction of your Line Manager
- Provide support to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) through each stage of the Bid including Basis of Estimate (BoE) construction where needed, management and compilation of the consolidation of BoEs and cost analysis as directed by the Line Manager or Bid Team representatives
- Assist the Bid Team with the preparation of Phase Review data, RBA data and inputs to the Customer Pricing tables
- Ensure pricing adheres to Commonwealth Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Cost Principles and Profit Principles
- Provide support by identifying and contributing to E&P process improvement initiatives as directed
About YOU
- Previous relevant experience in Defence or related Engineering, Project Management, Finance or Commercial fields
- Experience in analytical E&P Roles (or related disciplines)
- Some exposure to bids across platforms and or services
- Experience in modelling and analysis
- Exposure to estimating techniques
- Influencing skills
- Some exposure to government contracting requirements (desirable)
- Eligibility for a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance
