About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team within the Hunter Class Program. We are flexible with the location.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electrical systems and/ or equipment in accordance with contractual and Company requirements to achieve the required business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Derive, analyse and manage electrical system/equipment requirements
  • Participate in requirements reviews
  • Develop simple electrical system/ equipment architectural designs to meet established set of requirements
  • Undertake functional and circuit analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of candidate electrical system/ equipment solutions
  • Translate the electrical system/ equipment design into a manufacturable solution and incorporate changes as required
  • Support electrical systems/ equipment qualification activities to ensure that the product meets all requirements including safety and regulatory requirements
  • Undertake engineering management of the electrical system/ equipment manufacture
  • Undertake the integration and validation of the electrical system/ equipment design including contributing to the integration and validation plans and reports

About YOU

  • Electrical Engineering degree and satisfying the requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience within the Electrical Engineering discipline with working experience in the technical design and development of engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to team planning, risk management, product safety and quality.
  • Experienced working on electrical related projects.
