Job Title: Category Leader – Recruitment

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and supporting procurement activities in category management, sourcing and supplier relationship management in respect of the Recruitment/Contingent Labour sub-categories which delivers contracting solutions to enable the delivery of permanent and contingent recruitment, including: recruitment, employer branding and vetting
• Supporting the development, delivery and maintenance of a robust category strategy to optimise BAE Systems’ approach to the procurement of Contingent Labour/Recruitment from the external market & existing suppliers
• Forming part of the Contingent Labour/Recruitment Categories within the People Category team in Indirect Procurement Services, within BAE Systems UK & International Shared Services – which delivers common and transactional services on behalf of the BAE Systems group

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• A high level of contract knowledge, including experience negotiating terms and conditions
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Contract negotiation
• Supplier relationship management
• Contract management

Desirable

• Experience of the recruitment industry, market and commercial models
• CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma (MCIPS) held or willing to work towards

The People Category team in Indirect Procurement Services:

The team provides category management, sourcing and supplier relationship management expertise in Recruitment, Contingent Labour, Global & Domestic Mobility Services, Consultancy, Offload and Learning & Development sub-categories and are looking to add additional expertise in Professional Services to the team. The team’s enterprise-wide scope provides a unique vantage point on the entire business and the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver changes with significant impact.
