Job title: Business Development Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness /Filton (Weapon Systems UK) – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £65,000+ (Depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for creating the appropriate business winning environment for a market/markets through market understanding, market planning and positioning, developing opportunities and pursuing captures/campaigns
  • Responsible for identifying, creating, and developing new opportunities for the Business and maturing them until the point that the Business can take a pursue/stop decision
  • Typically, this role will work within government acquisition environments, either UK and/or Internationally
  • This is a senior role that requires energy, discipline and great relationship development skills whilst being able to provide customer and market insight

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Significant Business Winning experience and a substantial understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures, and industry best practice
  • Considerable experience in identifying, creating and developing new opportunities for the Business and maturing them until the point that the Business can take a pursue/stop decision
  • Good experience with government defence acquisition agencies, both UK and international
  • Proven experience in frontline business development or sales role
