Job Description
Job title: Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Glascoed, location alternatives – Radway Green, land sites.
Salary: Up to £63,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as a key focal point for business development across the Land UK business
- Enable business growth through effective order pipeline management and prioritisation of resources
- Own key customer and partner relationships across both the UK and international markets
- Influence and shape our customer engagement activities
- Ensure excellence in business winning capability and culture across the team
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports
- Deputise for the Business Development and Strategy Director where required
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Extensive experience working in Business Development, within a highly regulated industry
- Shipley business winning training or equivalent
- Experience in securing major defence contracts
- Deep understanding of Business Development processes
- Ability to foster strong relationships at a range of levels
- Demonstrable leadership skills
Desirable:
- Experience in leading small teams of business development professionals
- Successful track record in delivering change within teams

Land UK Munitions BD strategic Team:
The BAE Systems Land UK business delivers critical Munitions to the UK armed forces and its allied partners. The business development and strategy team is responsible for growing our order pipeline and helping shape the future direction of our business.
