Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Onsite)
Salary: From £40,748 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing day-to-day support to the Project Leader
- Running reports and metrics to identify and communicate trends to peers and senior management
- Identifying Risk, Quality and Scope management issues
- Monitoring cost and quality delivery to the Project
- Running system of work packs
- Enablement of work packages for execution by the Operations organisation
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentoring junior members of the team
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Project reporting and presenting experience within a Project Management environment
- Excellent Stakeholder Management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desirable:
- Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APMQ or Prince2)
- Experience using SAP
- Knowledge of Teamcenter

The Central Yard Facility, Planning Production & Control (Mid) Enablement team:
Join our team for a fantastic opportunity to support the seamless enablement of work systems to the shop floor, ensuring they meet plan demands. This role offers the excitement of working closely with the Dreadnought Programme, where you’ll engage with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
