• Self-starter: Be able to manage your time and competing priorities effectively
• Fresh degree power: Currently undertaking a bachelor’s or master’s degree, in your penultimate year of study.
• Ready to roll: Be available to start from the 30th November 2026 for a 12-week internship

Please note, as a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain one. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Role Description

Code the future of global security as a Technology Engineering Intern. At BAE Systems Australia, you will be able to see the forefront of digital innovation and see how we are crafting high-performance code for the world’s most advanced mission and safety-critical systems. This isn’t just development; it’s an opportunity to learn how we solve complex challenges that redefine industries and protect lives. You will:

• Build Critical Systems: Be shown how we design, implement, and install software for complex mission-critical platforms, ensuring adherence to world-class safety standards.

• Collaborate on Innovation: See how you can participate in technical reviews and provide strategic status updates to leadership.
• Verify and Comply: Assist in document design decisions and learn how to develop integration procedures to ensure we meet strict system requirements.
• Ensure Engineering Integrity: Support and maintain excellence by complying with BAE Systems standards and regulatory compliance
