• Communication master: Impress us with your clear and engaging communication skills
• Collaboration champion: Show initiative and connect effortlessly with colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of teamwork and support
• Self-starter: Be able to manage your time and competing priorities effectively
• Fresh degree power: Currently undertaking a bachelor’s or master’s degree, in your penultimate year of study.
• Ready to roll: Be available to start from the 30th November 2026 for a 12-week internship

Please note, as a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain one. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Role Description

Energise your career at the forefront of innovation. As an Engineering Intern, you will be shown the intricacies of advanced systems, powering the next generation of Australia’s defence and commercial capabilities. You will be part of a team that turns complex concepts into high-performance reality. You will:

• Design and Deliver: Assist in the creation, integration, and testing of various systems and equipment that meet rigorous defence and commercial specifications.
• Utilise Advanced Tools: Work with industry-leading design capture and analysis tools to drive the development process.
• Optimise Solutions: Be shown trade studies to evaluate candidate solutions and determine the most effective technical path forward.
• Bridge Design to Manufacture: Learn how to translate complex designs into manufacturable solutions, managing necessary modifications for production.
