  • Communication master: Impress us with your clear and engaging communication skills
  • Collaboration champion: Show initiative and connect effortlessly with colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of teamwork and support
  • Self-starter: Be able to manage your time and competing priorities effectively
  • Fresh degree power: Currently undertaking a bachelor’s or master’s degree, in your penultimate year of study.
  • Ready to roll: Be available to start from the 30th November 2026 for a 12-week internship

Please note, as a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain one. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Role Description

Ignite your career by learning how to drive the success of Australia’s most advanced defence projects. You’ll be shown the art of navigating complex business landscapes, identifying strategic opportunities, and ensuring the long-term profitability of our global ventures. You will:

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Participate in cultivating high-impact relationships between BAE Systems and our key customers.
  • Drive Profitability: Be supported in taking ownership of individual and team projects, gaining hands-on exposure to a wide range of activities.
  • Maintain Standards: Be supported to undertake documentation maintenance, ensuring strict business compliance with global policies and standards.
  • Manage Risk: Be shown how to support the identification of risks and opportunities to safeguard our business.
  • Navigate Global Regulations: Learn how to assist with compliance on vital international import, export, and ITAR regulations.
