Job Description

As a Software Engineer in the Product team, you'll play a key role in helping to build the connected guest experience of the future at theme parks, zoos, resorts and other out-of-home entertainment venues.

As a strong team player with a growth mindset, you'll work full stack across the complete software development life cycle. Together with your Product Owner and fellow engineers, you'll be working on a product used by millions of people across four different continents.

Our technology already helps some of the world's best-known attractions, such as Alton Towers, Chester Zoo and Butlin's, to deliver a seamless guest experience and better business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality software for our web application and APIs as part of a product team
  • Collaborate on the planning and implementation of scalable, resilient, observable and maintainable software architecture
  • Take part in peer review of code to uphold high-quality, maintainable code
  • Contribute to the ownership and improvement of your team’s agile processes

Requirements

  • Experience designing, building and delivering web applications, APIs and microservices
  • Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem and serverless architecture
  • A track record of solving complex engineering problems
  • A solid understanding of the SDLC, including CI/CD principles
  • Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React and MySQL
  • Well-versed in TDD and test automation best practices
  • A customer-centric mindset, able to rationalise technical solutions and solve end-user needs
  • A growth mindset with the ability to learn as you go
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to contribute to discussions and add to the team's culture
